Manchester City - Birmingham City

Roberto Mancini has pleaded guilty to an FA charge over his comical touchline clash with David Moyes, but will have to keep his cool when high-flying Birmingham City visit Eastlands this weekend.

Alex McLeish’s men are having an excellent season and have held Liverpool and Arsenal to draws in recent weeks, but Man City have responded to the Everton defeat by scoring nine goals in two consecutive wins.

“I accept the charge, I will not fight it.” said the ex-Inter Milan boss. “I’m normally calm but I want to win always.”

Will the ex-Inter Milan boss get what he always wants this weekend?

Tottenham Hotspur - Portsmouth

Spurs striker Jermain Defoe thinks his club’s next two games will “define the remainder of the season”, as they prepare to face Portsmouth with the FA Cup Final in their sights.

“Portsmouth will be tough.” said the England striker, who, like many of his Spurs teammates once played for the troubled side. “A lot of our players will have mixed feelings about playing them again because of the divided loyalties and the situation the club is in.”

Can Tottenham’s legion of ex-Pompey players spur them onto a first FA Cup Final since 1991 at the expense of the South Coast strugglers?
